A famous orangutan named Nhong gained online fame for his friendly interactions with tourists, including giving them kisses on the cheek and occasionally engaging in inappropriate behavior.
In a video captured at a safari park in Bangkok, Thailand, Nhong can be seen playfully hugging and kissing Panisara Rikulsurakan, a young woman who was posing for a picture with him. However, the footage also shows the orangutan reaching under her arms and touching her inappropriately.
Despite the incident, Panisara expressed her fondness for Nhong, describing him as a friendly and popular attraction at the safari park. She defended the zoo and claimed that the orangutan is well-cared for and brings joy to visitors.
Nhong has gained widespread attention on social media platforms due to the popularity of videos showcasing his interactions with tourists, particularly women who are eager to have their pictures taken with him.
Nevertheless, concerns have been raised by animal rights groups, including PETA, regarding the use of Nhong to perform such behaviors. They argue that he is being exploited and subjected to humiliation.
While Panisara disagreed with these criticisms and defended the zoo, stating that Nhong is well-maintained and brings happiness to visitors, the controversy surrounding his actions continues.
